The easiest way to change Riding Lawnmower blades.

As shown on the "My House Finishing" page, installing the chimney, here's another example I used in my previous shop to bring the chimney outside without going through the roof or the soffit.  Building the mounting bracket takes an hour or two, but saves a lot of time cutting through the roof or soffit. Also, it's more fire safe (metal fascia added later) and rain or melting snow can't leak into the soffit or attic.

As also shown on the "Hot Water Solar Heat" page, my homebuilt Scissor Lift also makes a great mobile, height adjustable work bench/table, used here for some regular car maintenance.

One complaint that many country homeowners have is that lawnmower blades can't be raised high enough, as their lots often aren't as smooth and manicured as most city lots.  My Cub Cadet mower was only designed to raise the blades to 4", but there was still more "lift" available, but no slot.  I filed another slot here with a round (Rat Tail) file, as shown, which raised the blades an extra 1/4".  It works perfectly and could easily have been designed that way by the manufacturer.
How to Unclog Blocked Pipes - If you have hard well water and you're not using a filter or softener for your Toilet, Sinks, Urinal, etc. and you use low water flushes, then it's possible that your drain pipes may clog up in a few years.  Liquid drain cleaners may clear your traps but they are less effective on blocked pipes further down the system.  Try using the concave tip from a massager gun with the gun set to maximum power.  If that doesn't work, use a blunt tip on an Air Chisel. If you don't have one, cut off the tip of the bit you don't use, with a cutting wheel on an angle grinder, then wrap the end with just enough painter's tape to make a snug fit.  Use about 30-40 PSI and press the tip against the pipe, pull the trigger and with a bit of practice, keeping the tip on the pipe, move it back and forth across the suspected clogged area. You'll hear the water flow when it starts to clear.  Continue vibrating while having someone keep the water flowing for a better "flush out".
